This isn't the whole squad. I had several out sick today. After I took the photos and went to the doctor I am also now have Type A flu. I want to share with everyone. All I have is a common cold. My eyes are watering but nothing any different. I have no fever or body aches. If you get sick please go and get checked. You never know. I would of never thought I had the flu. Hopefully I will not get any sicker. I have felt fine all evening. God Bless all my little cheerleaders. We will take another photo to get all 24 girls in the photo.

This past Sunday I took a trip to Holliday Farm with Chloe, Syd and Granny Lelia. Everyone else in the family was busy. I am hoping we can all go back again with Balen. Our family has been attending farm days for many years. Our routine take pictures, pick out a pumpkin, paint the pumpkin, hay ride, and then a snack. This year was no different. The farm did have a new slide I didn't take the girls over to it. Maybe next time. One thing I do want to share while on the hay ride I look down at my shoe and what do I see POOP on my shoe. I was so mad and couldn't wait to get off the hay ride and find me a stick. So if any one has an extra pair of tennis shoes I would like them donated to me. I need them. They were my cheerleading shoes.

Just getting started

This was when she was scared. She just sat in the dune buggy.

This was Syd's big present for her birthday. The day after her birthday party I gave it to her. I had it stored at my brother Tommy's house. When we first gave it to her she was scared. She would not have any part of it. She then found two small mud holes. She loves playing in mud. I was never one to play in mud, however I do love that she likes to. During my childhood I was a big baby. Well I guess you could say I still am. I must admit I do like to get my way.

Zack did it. 1st place in the county. There were around 50 boys in K-4 grade in his division. I was so proud. It was so exciting. I can not express the joy we had from this victory. Memories come back from Jon's first cousin David. He died in a car accident. He was an awesome runner who also won a county championship. I believe 6th grade. David and his father Jon's uncle Dennis worked so hard together to prepare David for races. Dennis traveled with David several places in Kentucky to run. He went to Cordia high school and ran on their cross country team. I hope some day Zack gets to run in high school.

I am so excited all in one week Brandie is now my neighbor. There is only one house at the end of my street and now Brandie and Roger are the proud owner. I guess you could say that I am the proud neighbor. I now have a best friend living next to me. I am so happy. Syd and Chloe will get to grow up right next to each other. The first night they stayed at their house we had a fire and made hotdogs. Sheila came up with her kids. Sheila and I had more fun than anyone. We loved sitting there. It was so peaceful spending time with her outside. I tried to tell a scary story, however it didn't make since and it didn't scare anyone. To funny.

Since we didn't celebrate Syd's birthday the week of her birthday it seems like we have been saying Happy Birthday Sydney for ever. She had a birthday party in her class, Granny Lelia took her out for her birthday and yesterday was her main party. The party was so much fun. We started by as every one arrived they could play with play dough, work puzzles, made a craft and color. Next we ate nachos and cheese, hot dogs, pasta salad, cupcakes and ice cream. After we ate it was present time. Syd received several gifts lots of the new Strawberry Shortcake. We hurried and now on to the gym for dancing and karaoke. I also had some older girls come and help with the party. They sprayed painted hair, tattoos and fingernails. Syd had a great time. Once we finally got home and cleaned everything up it was time to start taking toys out of boxes. We had a great evening at the Miller house.

We ordered our cheer uniforms from cheerleading online.com We got everything for $60.00 a uniform, hairbow, socks, poms. The uniforms came with no lettering. It would of taken a longer time to get them. I decided I would design the lettering. Mom cut out the stars and the M. Brenda Dunsil who I have blogged about many times before is sewing the letters on the uniforms. I couldn't wait so she finished one uniform for me today. We will get the rest finished this weekend. They are going to look so cute in these uniforms.

I just got home and couldn't wait to post the photos from our first game. We had a ball. All the girls had fun and that is what matters most. It is not about being the best it is about happiness. As long as we go through life with Jesus in our hearts that is what matters the most. We build memories that last a life time. I cheered for 9 years I will always remember the friendships I developed because of cheerleading. Thanks mom for allowing me to have the memories. Cheerleaders are like sisters. I want all 24 of my girls to love each other as sisters.

I Have Gone Cheer CRAZY!!!!

I decided I would coach the mini mustangs and now we are the mini mustangs/girls cheerleaders. I have 25 girls between the age of 3 to 2nd grade. I am ready for the challenge. We are going to be good and cute and the main thing we are going to have fun. That is what cheerleading is all about. I believe building friendships that last a lifetime.

My best friend Tab Pratt Collins is also coaching cheerleaders at RW. She is the boys varsity coach. She is also ready for the challenge. Hopefully I will get to post some photos of the girls real soon. All of the following photos I have copied from the internet to get ideas. I have not coached or been part of cheerleaders in 15 years. I had decided that I would be a cub scout leader and a boys basketball mom. Now that I have Syd that has changed. Cheerleading here we come. Hurray!!!!!

1st Day of School for Tanner, Zack and Me

Tanner is now a Sophomore, Zack is back in the 3rd grade and I am going to my 13th year of teaching. Time flies by when you are in a school. It seems a brand new school year is always exciting it is like Christmas on the first day, seeing all the children and co-workers that you have not seen in two/three months. What other job gives you that much off? I love it. I was so ready for school to start back I love school. Being at RW is the best. I thought I would list some of my extra jobs. 1. Girls Varsity Cheer Coach 2. Yearbook 3. PTA President and 4. Public Relations for our school. I love all of them well I would like to cross off number 3 on my list. That one gets busy some times and it is hard to do my other job duties.

I bought these curlers they are curl formers. I saw on someones blog about them. I found them at Sally's. This evening is the first time using them. Syd will be sleeping in them tonight and hopefully tomorrow it will have big curls. I will post the results later.

Look out preschool here comes Sydney Miller. I realize that after tomorrow her life will never be the same. She will be going to school everyday growing and learning about academics and life. I love school of course I am a teacher. I have been going to school since 3 years old. I went to a head start program and then on to RW Combs. I have my masters, and rank 1. I will always be in school until I retire and then I plan on going back to substitute during retirement. I hope Syd also likes school. I know it will be fun. She will be attending preschool in the morning and then to childcare from 11:30-3:00 I will pick her up after school.

I have never had such a clean classroom. I cleaned everything, however since then I have had to move everything as if I was remodeling. My air conditioner was not working. When the maintenance men came to fix it, the air container was rusted out and couldn't be fix. Luckily they found the part from somewhere. Now I just have a major flood beside the air conditioner. I keep mopping it up through out the day. I can live with that.
