Syd Playing DS!!

Sydney decided to get the DS and try to play it. That is something I know she will eventually want. She asked me to take her photo. She was playing Mario Kart.

Christmas Around the Miller House!!!

Photos Jon's sister Sandy and brother Greg. In the back Syd's birth announcement. Jon and I at Syd's baby shower. Adam my nephew, love this photo.
This is my snowman section I will leave this out until March. Last year I bought these letter signs. They say Peace, Joy, and Wish. Love these they really show up against this black cabinet.

This tree is in our family room, which I call the big room. I use to have a 12ft. Christmas tree. I would like to sell this for $100.00 it is pre-lit. Jon and I just could not get it out. Way to much work. This tree I bought the day after Christmas sales. On the 12ft. tree I painted 5 X 7 frames red and attached ribbon to the back to hang up my frames. I still put some on the tree. The rest I put on the end tables. From the look of this picture I believe I could put the rest on the tree. I feel it looks bare.

Here are the frames. Far left, Syd's first Christmas with Santa photo. Tanner and Zack school photos. My sister Sheila and husband Darrell.

These two stockings are mine and Syd's.

These three are Jon's, Zack's, and Tanner's.

Snowman section in family room.

This is in our master bathroom. I put a few things in there to decorate.

This came from Josephina's gifts at Leatherwood. I use to go up there and shop but I haven't been there in a while.

This is in Syd's room on her dresser. It was given to her from Granny Jean. She also calls Lelia granny. So when I say something like you are going to granny's she says. Which kind of granny? I love it. A child's mind is amazing.

This is the top of Syd's tree. After Syd and I finished decorating her tree. I thought there was no Dora ornaments on her tree. This is her favorite right now. I went looking in her Dora toys and found this one. She got this last year for Christmas from Laceyn Hylton.

Syd's tree if you notice her tree skirt matches her wall and baseboard perfect. I also added some pink, purple lights. It took us a while to decorate I let her look at each ornament and talked about it before she put it on her tree.

I got these two vases this summer at a yard sale for $12.00. They were home interior. I thought what can I put in these. For fall I put pumpkins, gourds, pine cones. For Valentines I will fill full of hearts. For Easter I will do eggs. For Summer I will do Flags. There is all kinds of possibilities.
This was a gift from my sister, Sheila she bought this for me at Pebbles. I saw it and loved it. It was red, which is my favorite color.
Christmas Books. I keep these put up with decorations. When I get them out I put them in a basket. Syd and I have been reading them. There is a lot that she doesn't know about Christmas what better way to learn. Read, Read, Read.

When I did the Hazard Community College Christmas sale I bought this for $20.00 I loved the bright buttons, scarf, and hat. It matched my house perfect. I would like to make some like this one in Perry Central colors.
Christmas tree in the living room. This tree is my favorite one in my house. It has ornaments that I have had the longest. All of these ornaments are Tanner's and Zack's. Some are homemade and some are bought for them. Each year I buy the kids a special ornament.

Hey Look at Dora!

I went to my favorite junk store. I call it this because you are not looking for any thing. You just go to find something and I call it junk. Actually I love these type of stores they are my favorite. Most of my clothes come from Hospice, Goodwill, a yard sale, or on clearance. It is so much fun when you get a good deal. I was taught this at a young age I guess from mom. I can remember when I was in high school at Dilce Combs, my favorite teacher Joe Michael Brashear would take us shopping once a year at Fayette Mall. Mom and dad would give me money and I would come out with the most stuff. That was my first shopping experience in Lexington. I wanted Syd to be Dora for Halloween could not find it any where in Hazard or Lexington so I just let her wear the Wonder Women costume that I found at the same junk store for $2.00. Yesterday I hadn't been at the junk store in a while I decided to stop by it is actually in my neighborhood (how cool). Hanging on a garment rack was two Dora costume with all the parts including the hair. I said Lanny how much are these. I didn't let him no my excitement thinking I could get a better deal. He said I will let you have them for $2.00 each. Hurray I got one for Syd and one for Chloe. As soon as we got home we put it on her. I had to take photos. Later she had Mini-Mustang practice and wanted to wear it to practice. My store is ran by Lanny Cornett it is in Christopher before the straight stretch where Christopher Church of God is. There use to be a grocery store there. Go check them out. He told me to get him some business. I try but he want put a sign up so it is hard for me to explain. It is on the main road there.

Thanksgiving

This was a view finder and of course Syd is taking photos with it.
Look how precious, Tanner, Max and Zack.

Look at Max with Papaw's hat. Zack and Syd have all done this photo. Life is good.

Look at these two beautiful girls. Sandy and Syd.

LOVE, LOVE, this photo A photo of everyone. We will do one more of these soon. Sandy and Brent will be getting a beautiful baby girl anytime. Thank you Jesus for my families. Families are so special and as we get older we realize so much. Age does make us wiser. We never realize that when we are young. Now I no why mom and dad were so smart.

All of these photos were taken at Jon's parents house. We got a family photo of everyone how amazing. I already had a 8 X 10 printed to frame. However, I did not take any photos at mom's or at my house family party. I hate that. I was so busy I forgot to take photos. Oh well, Maybe next time. Teresa

Tanner's Basketball Photo

2008/2009 Freshman

Commodore Dinner

Tanner looks sharp. Can you tell he did not want his photo taken oh well.
Group photo in the front roll Tanner second from left.

This is an annual event for Perry County Central Basketball team. Last year Jon and I attended. This year Tanner is a freshman he is on the basketball team and they are servers at the dinner. The tickets cost $50.00 for two a salad, steak dinner, and dessert. The boys were responsible for a roll of tables. They brought the food to the people, their drinks. Tanner did a great job. I watched him he would go and ask if they needed anything else or more drinks. I worked the dessert table. After the dinner your ticket goes into a raffle all 300 numbers are put on a board to show you that your number is in. Next they pull all numbers off the board and put in a turning barrel. One by one until 256 are pulled and placed on the board. After that the last five numbers get to vote to split the money or one person gets $5,000.00 Everyone split the money and GUESS WHAT I was one of them. I WON $1,000.00 Jon had gave up and went home before he left he said if we win you can have all the money. Tanner went up on stage and claimed the money. Oh exciting was that? I am going Christmas shopping with that money. Merry Christmas.

Zack's Wrestling Match

He told me that the pillows were so he could have a seat. If you look closely you will see the video tapes and also my photo albums.

Zack is loving his wrestling action figures. In our family room I let him do what he wants. He came down and ask if we had any VHS or DVDs he could use. I didn't understand what he wanted with them. I said go to Syd's room and get hers. That evening I went up stairs and was oh so surprised at what I seen. He had made the biggest area with his wrestling stuff. It was so creative. I was proud of him. I love when children use their imagination and play. He is creative. He gets on you tube and watches videos that others have created using wrestlers. Look back at my blog and you will see something we made for wrestlers.
